Scanmaster battery voltage?

Out in the car for a ride tonight and checked the battery voltage on the scanmaster. The reading was 12.2 volts idling lights on. I verified this reading with my volt meter at the alternator and battery, the voltage was 13.95V. Anybody had inaccurate readings from their scanmaster?

It's not an innacurate Scanmaster. It has to do with where the scanmaster is getting it's information.
Remember, it's not measuring the voltage at the same places you did. It's getting it as a converted digital word in the data stream from the ECM. It's showing you what the ECM is seeing, not what's at the alternator/battery.

I too noticed today that with my lights on either at idle or driving, the scanmaster flucuates between 12.2 and 13.0
Unfortunately I dont have a voltmeter, is this anything to worry about or is it normal
Thank you
