safe way to remove manual window crank handles?

I am going to replace the dew wipes on my factory lightweight GN,with manual windows,and i do not want to mess anything up,because everything is original and in great shape.

Handle removal

Go to your local auto parts store,they make a tool just for doing that.They can be trickey though.They are just held on with a u shaped spring clip.

I think I may have one. Bring it over to the house because some of the screws you need an offset screwdriver.

Flat tip screwdriver and that spring behind it pops right off........

either get hte proper tool- it's like $5 anywhere- or wrap a rag around the base of the window crank and spin the clip out.
