Roll Cages

I am thinking of getting a roll cage installed in my 86 T-Type w/ T-tops. I would like to see some examples of peoples cars who have already done this. I dont want to butcher up the interior. I just want it to stiffen up the car. If you have any pics of your cages, I would appreciate it.

Just curious, I've never had a car w/rollbar. Do you weld it to the floor or do you cut through the floor and weld to the frame?

I ran the forward roof line bars through the top of the dash which works real well at helping hide the bars, not to mention opening the door entry area in the footwell. Also, the side bars are hinged to allow easier access...with a bend to clear the door panel arm rest.

That is exactly what I am looking for. Is that a 6pt? I noticed you didnt have any bars near the front of the car. How much did the work cost and what do I need to look for when having one installed. Thanks for the pics

Yes 6 pt. There are bars near the front, the door bars run within 6" of the firewall. Cost aroyund $300 I bought the kit and installed it myself. Check into peoples work before you have one done and make sure they will do it legal but the way you want it, like keeping all the interior intact and unobtrusive to passengers.

Yes the bars have to goto the frame
