Ring gap

I am getting ready to put the motor back together. What would be the recommended ring gap? I bought file fit rings from J & E.

.022"-.024" for both the top and 2nd rings should be fine.

Thanks Neal. So I want more gap than stock? I think my book said .010-.020.

you DO want a little more gap...

with the heat from the turbo(under boost) you will get more expansion,
so as Neal said, run a little more end gap,
