OK, I have been working on this problem off an on for a long time.
I'm way beyond fustrated.
1989 Turbo TA

The Car has righ exhuast smell and high BLM's at idle. Other than that the cars runs great but the plugs come out black.
Cat is new
02 is new
new delco pcv
Wires new, plugs new, coil new Just checked timing setup-correct.
stock injectors- red A street chip
Replaced intake gasket and all throttle body gaskets
Blocked off all VAC and EGR, Still same readings There are no VAC Leaks!!!
Fuel is at 38.5 BLM is lowest there.
Compression is 155 on all cyclinders
BLM is at 133 to 137
INT is between 123-134 bounces between
O2 MV is 430-600
160 themastat, double check operation temp with meter.
MAF is at 5 and passes the tap test
no major exhuast leaks, maybe a few small leaks under boost.
Radiator keeps pressure.
The only other thing I can think of is lean injectors or funky ECM.
Also lots of moisture from exhuast pipe, but it is a 3inch ATR.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appeciated, I'm in North Cali if you want to stop by for a beer of two and check it out.

Thanks,

Jeff

Yep I understand INT and BLM pretty well, Tried all those tricks.

Since I may have to get new Injectors might as well go up a little.
Any body have problems passing smog with 37# injecters?
Thinking about these- Delphi / Lucas
37 lb / hr.
Disc Injectors

Hi!
You only have this problem on warmup? It sounds like every thing is cool, BLM and INT are right where they should be. How is coolant temp parameter looking? What about a low reading MAT?It sounds like your o2 sensor may be fouling and somewhat sluggish, but that is an effect, not the cause. I'd like to have a beer with you and check it out, but 1500 miles away, so... Good luck! Dale

rich when cold

PS,
At least with my scanner, there is no MAT parameter available, so you may have to do it the hard way, with a dvom or graphic multimeter. Depending on ambient temp, should diminish as the temp increases, don't know the actual voltage, but they are cheap, just change it if in doubt. I hope this helps, once again good luck! Dale

This problem is not just warm up but at all temps. I'm using a scan master, the coolant temps seems right on compared to maual thermometor. I have checked the mat it seems ok it has been at 85 deg. running warmed up with outside temp around 60 deg. the BLM is not that bad but the exhuast rich smell is sooo bad!

Thanks for responding,
Jeff
