Retiring and on to my next career, anyone here a taxidermist?

So after 24 years I'm unable to do the job physically and they are medically retiring me, not really the way I hoped to end it. Anyway, the jumping, and working in SOF for the last 15 years has absolutely destroyed my lower back, had surgery in this past Jan, the results weren't as hoped and it's time to move on.

I'm looking at getting into taxidermy, either the VA or my GI bill will pay for my schooling and from my research the start up cost doesn't sound like its too ridiculous. Anybody here past or presently working as a taxidermist and willing to talk r experience breaking into the field?
