repairing pillar cracks.........

What do I need to do to have the stress cracked repaired above the top rear corners of the door windows? Anything I should tell the welder to do or watch out for?
Would installing the rear set braces keep them from coming back?
Getting ready to get the GN dent free and repainted, but need to have this fixed first.

the seat braces should keep them from coming back. The body guy I talked to about doing my stress cracks suggested a different way but welding will work. Then grind it down and fill it smooth with duraglass

the lead that was put in at the factory is what is cracking. I V groved mine and then filled with duraglass, been like that for 10 yrs now and no cracks
