recommended stall???

hey guys rebuilding trans time and was going to get a new higher stall converter just dont know what I need? 87 GN with stock turbo,duttneck cooler,erics chip,3" downpipe and no converter,adj fuel reg,hotwired walbro pump, running 14 pounds boost

im thinking 2800 stall?
 
These cars are all about the right combo of parts. What are your future plans as far as turbo and ET?
 
Your stock d-5 converter will take you in the 11's. I wouldnt change it unless you will be doing a cam or turbo upgrade in the future. You could end up hurting more than helping performance.:redface:

These motors make alot of torque on the bottom. Thats what gets our heavy cars up and running. You put a higher stall than what you need and you will drive right thru your optimum peak torque curve.
