Rear Hatch Unit Pulldown Guides... Where?

On the motorized unit that pulls the trunk down, there are plastic guide pieces that ride in the rails. The rails are bolted to the frame of the car. The parts guy says they aren't available alone, and the unit is $450, right.

Does anyone know where to get these in the aftermarket? Mine are shattered into a zillion pieces and I'd like to figure out how to get new ones in there ;-)

Well, I do not have an answer for you, but I do have a place for you to start. Try www.thirdgen.org in thier tech section, they seem to have a good handle on 3rd gen problems like this one.

What a lucky one you are today!
Fellow TTA owner Lon Salgren has done many products and one of them is the repair kit!
I have the kit also but i don´t remember the price....wasen´t expensive at all....maybe $30 or so......
