Rear end question

I have a GU6 rear 342 gears pegleg, can I buy eaton or other carrier and install without getting rear end set up, keeping the same gears. Should I get eaton lim slip, stock gm lim slip detroit locker,richmond power trax , mostly street driving some track. Thanks Craig

You can get a stock g80 carrier or a aftermarket Eaton that will bolt right in you may still need to do some shimming but could get lucky just bolt it in with whatever came off the other carrier then check the clearances!
