race gas

this is going to b the first time i am using race gas. i have some cam2 100 octane. do i need a race chip in order to run this fuel? i dont have a stock chip in there now but i dont know what kind it is. and also how much boost can i run. i am running 17 psi right now on 93 octane with very little boost. how much should i run with the 100 octane. thanks for the help

mine ran the balls when I used that 100 stuff.

I would say it is an insurance policy against knock using the cam- 2 100 octane.

Can I use race gas ???

Can I use 100+ octane w/ my combo below with no ill effects or is it a waste of money? Thanks

100 octane is hardly race gas. All thing being equal. it'll allow you to run a couple more pounds of boost. The timing in your street chip will be lower than optimum for 100, but not greatly so.

I'm able to run about 20 PSI on the street with 100. With 93 or 94 I can only run about 15. And my car has all the bells and whistles.
