question about tranny fluid level

when you look at the dipstick for the tranny fluid after driving for a while, it's supposed to be thick and red on the dipstick right?

mine is thin, very thin and red, but it shows that it is full....should i add some fluid to it...if so how much.....

i did post in here a while ago about the tranny flaring going into second gear, and going into third to early sometimes....could that be the problem......

Mine always shows red and thin. Tranny fluid isn't like oil. Ever notice how a drop of tranny fluid tends to spread out where oil tends to puddle? It's just a much thinner, viscous fluid. From everything I've read, the proper level on the stick is somewhere in the knurled area. I tend to fill mine about halfway up that area, maybe a little higher. But never exceeding it.

i didn't do this...i have only had the car a few weeks....what do i do...can that be the problem that i having with the tranny shifting...
