question about my idiot lights

Hey guys, Ive had my car parked for the last couple years and am getting prepared to sell it. I took it for a little drive today and I noticed that my "VOLTS" light was on. The last year i drove it before it was parked, the car had also stalled on me during mid drive and required a tow. It would turn over, just not catch and start. Now not sure what the problem is but i was thinking alternator? Whats your opinions?

Take the alternator off and have it tested first. If it's good then you have some wiring issues.

thanks. Ill give the alternator a test. Hopefully thats the problem so i dont have to keep searching.
