Quarter window trim

Hello All,

Need some opinions on what to do with my quarter window trim. The current condition of the trim shows white salt pitting bumps and holes. Should I just buy new trim (anyone have a good source ) and call it a day or should I remove the old trim and take somewhere to get sanded down and repainted? How hard is it to remove the trim? Is there a write up somewhere or a good video?

Thanks,
Don

The trim does not remove from the glass and i belive the only way to get a replacement is to buy a new quarter glass which are NOS parts if you can find them and about $500 each! Best thing to do is find a nice used set and swap them out!

The trim piece is removable... Have to take interior pieces off than nuts on studs and lightly tap with hammer..there will be sealent in the gap. Same stuff that holds windshield in place. If they were repainted use a razor blade on edge so it doesn't pull paint away.
