Precision Waste gate plumbing

I am replacing my ATR gate with a new precision pw39 wastegate. My car has an old ANS electric boost controller. It works through the stock boost solenoid and the vacuum y hose. My question is do I just connect the vac line to the port on the side of the gate and leave the one on the face open to atmosphere? Or is there a different way to make it work correctly with the controller?

Yes. But it shows either using wg spring pressure by connecting the compressor housing to the gate or using a manual controller with a tee off the compressor. With a manual, one end goes to the gate, and the other goes to the manual controller and from there to the other port on the gate.

My setup, as of now, uses the stock y hose and the factory boost solenoid. I just don't know if it will work that way with the new gate. The old ATR just has one port

Mine is that way, the top is open to the atmo and the bottom near the turbo is feed off the controller to bleed boost.
