Powermaster-what causing this???

Hi

Besides the brake light staying on for about 5-10 seconds when I turn the key on (in the morning), I notice that the brake fluid level in brake reservior(on the motor side) goes from the full mark to almost empty. Overnight, it will return to the full mark!!!

I notice my friends cars... the fluid stays full.

What is causing the fluid level to drop? where is all brake fluid going to.

Could be the accumulator ball. This little devil is the cause of 90% of all powermaster failures. Check out Brake System for diagnostics.

Only one side should stay full. The drivers side that's the conventional master cylinder and feeds the wheel cylinders.

The Passenger side is the reservoir for the hydraulic booster. It should be almost empty unless the brake is pressed repeatedly with the key off.
