Powering the MAP...need help

Here is my prob. 87 limited with transplanted 86-87 turbo motor. the dash wiring and cluster is still na. from what i have read the MAP sensor gets its power from the turbo gauge cluster. on the scanmaster my map reads 199 all the time. since i dont have the right cluster and wiring in the dash does this mean my map isnt being powered or reading correctly? and if so could someone help me by explaining how to wire it up so that it will work correctly.....thanks

'm not familiar with how the Scanmaster reads MAP, but you can get 5 volt power and ground to the MAP via the TPS.

thanks razor but i dont have the turbo dash harness....didnt think that way would work for me....
