Nope. Power seat was a separate option. Now I guess I'm not sure but didn't all grand nationals come with power seats? I thought that since a GN was an option package it automatically came loaded with all the goodies. The previous owner on my car felt the need to convert it to manual (probably due to cost).

....but the other options could go either way, there are some real stripper gn's out there.
I think only open rears came with aluminum drums in 87, but I think I just heard/read that somewhere.
It's not gm it's who ever was doing the ordering.
It's definitely possible to do a "factory installed appearing" installation as long as you have all the correct parts...Proof is I did it myself. You need to know that the power seat tracks are different from '81-'86 and '87. The earlier tracks ('86 ans older) have one single motor mated to a plastic transmission to move the seat in whichever direction you choose. the later tracks ('87), have three separate motors to do the job. Both models will fit in your GN, but parts aren't interchangeable between the two kinds of tracks.Looking to convert to a power seat in my 87 GN. Has anyone used another year GM track that will bolt in place of stock?
My 86 had aluminum drums and the G80 axle, but I guess that could have been changed before me?
To my knowledge 86 should have aluminum drums and aluminum bumper support, 87's don't except like I said I think the open rear cars might have received aluminum drums.
Looking to swap. Still interested?I am actually planning to remove the power seat and install manual.
Weight savings plus simplicity.
Wanna swap?
