My brakes are going to the floor. Any ideas what I need?
Do I need new power master unit, If so where do I get one. thanks

Are there any leaks that you can see?

Is the pump motor working?

Have you tried swapping the accumulator ball?

Several of the vendors on here sell rebuilt units, they can also be had thru Autozone but be careful, I've heard some bad stories on Autozone rebuilt stuff.

I looked and did not find any leaks that i could see, there was fluid in both bowls..

The pump motor is working ...

I also tried swapping the accumulator ball and still had the same issue.. pedal goes to the floor..

 Both bowls???
My pm had 3 bowls. My hydroboost & the vacuum unit are/were 2 bowl units.

The master cylinder seals probably need to be replaced. Easy enough to do if you can find the parts. Delco used to sell a rebuild kit but not anymore.

I am having the same problems and took the whole unit out to take to the GM dealer. They ordered a master cylinder and I am waiting to match my own up because the original is discontinue by GM. I will let you know what the outcome is as soon as mine is here ...

Brake pedal to the floor is the classic signe of blown seals in the mastercylinder. No difference here in the P/M vs a standard cylinder.

Only place I know if to get rebuilt units is either Kirbans or GBodyParts.
Kirbans want's your old unit for a core.
They need it for future rebuilds.

Wrong parts for the PowerMaster.
Looks like maybe for a vacuum setup. but don't know for sure.
But feel free to keep trying.

That part is getting closer, but still not right.
Let me fix up a pic for you after I get this thing done (I'm at work).
There are many parts that are needed to rebuild the Powermaster.

I've got an exploded diagram.

I have an old 18M757 kit at home. That one I know is right. Just need to get more of 'em.

Well, I seem to be digitally challenged.
I can't seem to be able to get the diagram to a point where I can post it.
Stupid computers.
I need to get a new scan of the page.

Anyway, there are 'about' 14 parts that make up a correct rebuild kit (minimum 10 orings internally) and there aren't that many in that picture that A/Z shows. Not to mention the piston they show isn't the correct shape.

I need to go into business for myself.
I just need some money in the bank.
