Power Antenna Troubleshooting

Just picked up another TR and the power antenna is stuck up. Got home and found it unplugged under the hood. Plugged it in and nothing. Im assuming this means the motor is bad?

Also, is there anyway to put it down manually? Would like to put a cover on the car without cutting a hole in it.

Take a pencil eraser and clean the contacts. I had what was thought to be a dead antenna and this made it come back to life. A little bit of corrosion and it won't work right. If this doesn't work get the test leads to check for power at the connection.

Cleaned the contacts and the motor just ran, Im assuming the means a bad cable, correct? Thinking about replacing the whole unit including the mast, its a little bent. Wheres the best place to get a good fitting unit?

Mine does not go down and I want to put on my cover too so one day I went thru the car wash and they bent at every 2 inch so I break it at the bottom and put on one of those inside windshield antena and be done with.
