Powdercoating on the inside

I have heard on many occasions how benifical it is to paint the oil return surfaces in the motor with epoxy paint. I was wondering if anyone has ever considered powder coating these surfaces. The coating is good to 650 degrees or so, I can't imagine it would come loose if done correctly. The stuff is also super slick, and can be applied thick so it should fill up the rough cast surfaces well. Any thoughts?

I am currently in the middle of a rebuild because of powdercoating on the inside. I wanted the OUTSIDE of my oil pan coated and they did the whole thing. Coating broke down and trashed my 50K stock engine.

There's more then just temperature involved, how resistant is it to say, sulfuric acid?, that ones of the byproducts of the combustion process.

IMO, that's one area, where, I'd only use an established good product designed for doing that.
