Which one of these two (PL or Direct Scan), are less noticed in the car? I want a scan tool that doesn't stick out of the kick panel. Does anybody have clean install pictures? Thanks

DS install is invisible. The DS connector/ribbon cable (connected to bottom of ecm) is not visible inside the kick panel, DS interface box is behind the glove box door, and the cable that is typically run to the console area is tucked under the dash. Not sure how one would completely hide the PL.... sorry, no pics... :frown:

PL is also completely hidden, as it's entire workings are on a circuit board mounted where the DS cable plugs onto the ECM.

DS limited in it's display capabilities, and is no longer supported or upgradable.

PL is fully supported, and software upgrades are available.

I would go for the PL as well. The software is super easy to use and is pretty slick to say the least. Plus you get upgrades and great tech support. Once you unplugg your laptop cable from the PL you can not see anything.
