Pinion Bearing

I have gone to order an installation kit for my gears (4.10's!!) to go into my 1981 Regal and Jegs is asking me whether I have a 3" or 3.25" pinion bearing. It says up to '81 is 3" and '82 and up is 3.25". I don't have the gears out of the car yet and I suppose I could go by what they say on the years, but they are not always right.

Anybody had experience with this?

Hey Aaron, been a while. You're going to have to take it out most likely or order both and return one of them. You might try contacting Eric at Gbody and see what he says. He's got the most knowledge on parts as far as these cars.
