Pinging at 15PSI boost /84GN

I took my car out for a ride yesterday, i noticed @ a dead stop, i punched it, as soon as the boost hit up to 15psi i heard a pinging type sound at the engine, i backed off right away... is this due to a knock??
I never noticed it before, it was very cold yesterday around 38degrees...

Pretty good actually that you are able to run 15 psi and "never noticed the knock before". You should never rely on your ear but on your scan tool. This way you will be able to "back off" before you hear it. What did it register on the KR?

Unless you are running alky or an intercooler, (or have some other mods not listed in your sig) you should not expect more than 8-10 PSI without knock on 93.
