The thread I posted had them buried a few pages down, so I've gotten a couple of requests to just put up a new post with them upfront.

Components used are as follows:
* 91 Cyclone CD player
* Alpine 5 channel amp
* Audio Control DQL-8 1/3rd octave EQ/x-over
* Image Dynamics comp 2 full body horns
* Focal neodymium magnet 6.5 mids
* Polk Audio C4 compound isobaric bandpass.

It's out of a 92 GMC typhoon I believe.
I'd sell it for $300, going to put a McIntosh MX-406 in the dash.

Door mount drivers

Are your door mount drivers mounted in a sealed box or is the back open to the door itself?

I have been considering horns too but mounting a large enough driver for the rest of the band in to doors is an issue. I do not have factory concert sound.

They are open in the back, the trick is mounting depth. Focal's love big volumes behind them so the midbass is stunning for a 6.5, and they are high-passed at 90hz so I don't have to worry much about over-excursion.

If you don't have concert sound, I'd just go with a pair of O-forms and be done with it to be honest.

WOW! Nice!!! Did you upgrade your alternator? If so, what and where? Planning to do mine as well and want to avoid dimming lights.

I haven't, it tested strong and I have a VERY efficient set of speakers and the Alpine PDX-5 is super efficient.
