Palm Beach TurboBuick-Oct '09 Meet Pics

Just sharing some pics from our meet held this past Saturday at J&J Auto Upholstery in Lake Worth/Palm Beach FL. Enjoy.

The weather started out rainy in the morning but by the time of the meet cleared up nicely. We even did a late evening cruise out to a local Sonic where there was a Z-car meet in progress. It was alot of fun catching up with old friends and meeting some new ones.

We had folks attending from near and far; Miami (he drove up on slicks, haha) and even a fellow TurboBuick brother was in town who drove his GN from Englewood (the west coast of FL). There were 17 turbobuicks in attendance; a couple "project" cars, 3 WE-4's, a few T's/GN's, and a sweet true-street Stage II complete with A/C, overdrive and full interior. There were also a super clean 6.0 GTO, chevy Xtreme SUV and a couple tow-pigs, haha.

We are planning on doing some Friday evening cruises out to local car shows and/or to Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) as well. So more pics to come of those.

Thanks for sharing the pics Shev, looks like a good time was had by all! It's nice to see that you and Dave have given everybody down there a nice spot to meet up and shoot the breeze about Turbo Buicks.

Good Times

It sure was alot of fun guys. Like I said, we want to do more to get folks out enjoying their cars more, and it does not have to be a formal thing, just get together whenever for a cruise about town with a few other TurboBuick guys or head out to the Track for local test n tune night or to the local car shows.

We have been doing a couple of these just recently here (usually 4 Turbobuicks out riding) and it brings back the old days when more people would come out and meet up. It sure lets you enjoy your hard work & $$ spent on the car to take it for a nice drive. We were actually all gonna head down to Towers on Friday night, but by the time everyone started heading down I-95 it was 8:10pm and Towers meet would have closed when we got there (9:00pm close)and from what we heard the cops kick everyone out. So, we ended up turning around on I-95 and went to PBIR instead.

Alex, the little one is Dave's and anyday now she will have a little brother to enjoy the shows and meets with. We are all excited about that too. How are ya'll doing? You guys on the second/third yet? Haha.
