Opinion On A Tr Buy?

Have a buddy going to TX to pick up a TR for 3,000.00 and this is what it has ..what do you think?

This car was noT originally a TR just a Regal that someone was trying to turn into a GN..WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK

Well, basically, I think that he will get what he pays for.
There is a strong GN/GNX/TR faction/clan in Texas just like anywhere else. If it was any good at $ 3K, don't you think that someone local would have snatched it up.

3k is a little much for a parts car or for somebodies handy work. Usually, I look for signs that Bubba's been playing with a car so since you KNOW that somebody made this thing, I would be REAL skeptical.

You said a 8.8 in rear??? What gears?? 350 tranny??? Of course these aren't correct to turbo regals.. wonder what else is. Not downing the components, I would just want the genuine article for that money. Wiring and reworking things.. hope this person does good work. At least he's not trying to pass it off as something it's not!
