I own a 86 gn i bought it about 3 month's ago and i am just learning about buick in general.

my question is or is it common to see only the right tire burning rubber in my mirror personally i found it a little embarrising,granted the mustang was still in my mirror, but is this a common problem with these and can it be helped i was thinking clutch pack?carrier?

Check the sticker on the inside of the trunk lid, look for G80, thats the posi if its there then sounds like you need soem work if it has the orig rearend.

just checked in the garage it does not have the g80 code only g87
and gq1, i think it's a little weathered.
i am new to this car so your saying a car with as much power as this has and a 8 1/2" rear end doesn't have posi?

If it doesn't have the G80 code then you have a factory one-legger. Posi was an option until the end run of the 87's in which they all had them I believe.

Also consider that a GN/T-type with an open rear/non-posi came with aluminum brake drums,,, an advantage in my opinion.
