Well I got my 1227749 with the P+H drivers from Nolan yesterday.

But, all I have is a GN and that uses a 1227148 ecm.

Oh dear, what to do.

Hmm, but I have a Turbolink.

Gads, there just has to be a way to plug all this stuff together. LOL

Hahahahaha,

Oh, BTW, I have the GN running on the 749 now.

I / God(?) , figured out how to get the 749 to talk DIS. Guess it was him, and he just let me see how.

Anyway, took some researching to get the switches, tables, and calibration settings close for the GN, but things are precedding nicely.

Hello Bruce :)

Could you translate that for the rest of us? ;)

P+H drivers, DIS, 749....

What project are you working on? I hope that means there is a way to get a later model PCM with some more tuning versatility into our cars....?

Glad to hear you're well enough to keep busy on a new project Bruce

The only advantage I can think of that the 749 has is a faster baud rate. Other than that, I am at a loss since it should have the same style drivers. It is also a speed density set up with the same strange prom/cal pack that the 90-92 TPI cars had.
But maybe one of the things I mentioned is the reason Bruce tried it.

Well advantages would be

#1 it can be used with a 3 bar map sensor (Thanks to Brian Green)

#2 you can datalog a wideband O2 with the proper code hack.( Thanks to DIG)

#3 its speed density so no Maf

#4 with tuner cat RT and the romulator you can make changes on the fly like a FAST system.(I could kiss Tuner Cat)

Bruce is setting it up..... but as someone said earlier about god having a question...

I would say for now its not a plug and play....

Any chance the 749 will have capability of controlling a 4L60E trans.? :D

later,
Scott
