Oil Pump - No Oil Pressure

Well pull oil pump and as you can see on the gears I have two big chips one on each gear also very deep grooves on the actual bottom of the pump itself and was wondering would this cause the engine to lose oil pressure even though I'm about install a new high volume oil pump

Dings would not. However the roll pin that hold the gear on the bottom of your cam sensor can shear and cause it.
 
What are the thoughts on de-burring the edges of those gear teeth?
 
The gear could spin independent of the shaft. The drive tang is part of the cam sensor shaft. You'd know if the pin was sheared because your can wouldn't start.

You don't need a high volume pump, just do this...

Ignore the part about the TA shim kit. I wrote that article before I put hands on that kit and realized it was utter crap.
