I just picked up a 1987 Monte Carlo LS. Recetly painted, very beautiful car. Well the 305 is gone, has a rod knock. I have access to 2 early 80's 350. I was wondering if I put in a 350 if the 2004R transmission is going to hold? The 350 will be completely stock. This is going to be a daily driver.

If a 2004R can hold up behind a Buick turbo motor it can hold up behind a Chevy 350. Yes, it will hold up.
