No Boost Gauge/No Knock

I've been troubleshooting a knock issue (10 or so at WOT) and on my last test run, the boost gauge vacuum line came off. The knock disappeared when the boost gauge stopped functioning.

Is there any relation between the knock shown by the scanmaster and the boost gauge? If so, can someone explain. Thanks Guys
