no 2nd gear

87 grand national just driving it normal one day ( not beating the balls off it)
i lost 2nd gear in the 200r4 so it goes from 1-3-4 is this fixable or is a new transmission not far behind

I had the same thing happen, small part broke. Was an easy fix for my buddy. I think he said it was the servo

I lost 2nd before this trans was rebuilt and it was due to the 2nd gear band being baked black if I remember correctly... Someone may be able to repair if it is not too bad, or isolated to only one part for 2nd, or the governor or something. Hope for the best, and pray you have better luck than me.

Servo Apply Pin may have punctured Band Anchor or Band Anchor Pin broke.
