Caspar Thumbwheel Chip. If you moved the chip from stock mode number to one number above stock level, do you still run gas/93 octane? What would be the chip level that you would consider/use gas different from 93 octane? ( chip has 7 settings )

What would the chip level be that you would definitely want to physically increase the boost under the hood which would be at stock boost( around 10psi)

Scanmaster......just to monitor? Laptop to tune?

Thanks!

1st off, a few more details about your car will help here.

Did you buy this chip? Or are you saying you bought a TR & the chip was already in it?

5 of the 7 settings are performance settings. The other two settings are a valet & an anti-theft. If you don't know what you're doing with it, don't mess with it at all or engine damage could happen in short order.

If you bought the car this way, my best advise is ditch the current chip and get yourself a TurboTweak 93 street chip & be done. Click this link..... TurboTweak

With a TT chip you'll have 16-17 LBS on 93, not to mention excellent drivability/street manners. TT chips are known to be the best, bar-none.

A Scanmaster is just fine for a person on a budget. No, it doesn't update as fast as other systems, but it works.

And finally.... don't even think off messing with the WG rod/ "physically increase the boost under the hood" without A: knowing what you're doing, B: a boost gauge, C: a Scanmaster. D: a knock gauge
