Wrong section.
Save your money and get a better car.

Always get the best car you can afford. In the end you save money, even if you have to borrow money. Big Projects never are worth what goes back into them. Run from the 84 . the 86 sounds like a better option.

Also pre 86 ha cars are a real expensive venture and parts scarce. 86 /87 ic gns are the way to go .

You don't want any part of an 84/85. Save that for something you do later in life, after you own 3 or 4 TR's, and you have an entire garage filled with parts and need another project you feel like restoring.

I agree with all above statements. At this point I would rather not own one than own a hot air car in my opinion. Parts are getting hard, pain to work on, and MOST are just not fast after you deal with all that. Save your money and get an 86/87 and love life!!!!

First off, welcome to the site. :)
Technically speaking, this isn't the correct section to post tech questions.

HOWEVER! ;) I have always been of the belief that If someone posts in the "New Person" section, we should roll out the red carpet for them, every way we can. after all, this is their thread. This forum is the best source for good info and great people in the Turbo Buick world. We are honored to have you here. Please!
Post up any question you might have. You own this thread.:)

For the other sections, use the search to find the answers to your questions. If you can't find the answers, just ask.

All good info given in the above posts. IMO, get with the people in your area to look at something local. So Cal has some great deals for the dough. No rust issues either.;)

We have a So Cal get together coming up in the next few weeks that might interest you.;) http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/pizza-cruise-in-september-whos-in.430505/

Once again, Welcome to TurboBuick.com and happy spooling. :)
