I'm putting together (Still) my 4.1 into my '79 Sunbird and would like to know the correct size for the exhaust. And which way to go with it. A Dual with an X crossover or a Y-Pipe with a single exhaust. I'm going to get a set of stock exhaust manifolds off a '80 Regal 3.8 for the 2" outlets. The car will be a road car. The motor has mildly ported heads and an isky cam 2 steps over stock. I'm going to go with a TH350 to start with 2:73 rear gears, but will eventually go with a 200R4 with 3:42 S-10 or Camaro gears. I'd like to keep a cat for the emissions but I don't have to due to the cars age. Personally I'm leaning towards the single system.
