My downpipes shrunk?

Anyone else have this happen?

I have a genuine Terry Houston DP that fit like a glove after some dimpling here and there. I have been modding and modding my car and the DP has been getting shorter and shorter. I have done nothing to it but now need a band clamp just to fill the gap between it and the test pipe.

Same thing happened to me. I've had my down pipe out more times than I can count. It's more likely your exhaust system has shifted backward. I used a tie-down with a ratchet to pull the exhaust system forward to bolt it up.

+1 - Make sure your exhaust didn't move backwards. I encountered the same thing.
