MT DR fitment - GTA wheel - 295/50/16 - '87 GN

I just got mine on. 295/50-16 on GTA fronts. Here is a pic. Have not driven it much yet but so far so good. No frame mods or lip mods(yet) They are real close on the inside. I am not running a spacer either:D

The car is running on all original, unmodified suspension. I do want to lower it a bit if these big meats will allow. especially the front:cool:
Looks great, How is the ride? I found that 275/60/15 tires feel like I am riding on balloons. 28'' tall , The 295/50/18 are like 27.5'' Aslo how close are they to the frame rails ,Aluminum drums?

I just figured I liked the 315/45/16 so I could make everyone ask:eek:, "how'd those fit?"

295/50/16 on a G-Bodyparts 16"x10" GTA rim. No frame notch, but my trim has been removed and the outter fender lip is rolled in.

Your car sits nice.. What size tires are you running on the front?

Hey, I think I finally have this tire size safely fitted under the car! Still tight, but it seems to work. 295-50-16 on the 16X9.5 GTA style rim.

Vertigo107 can you take a shot from the back, I would like to see how wide they look. I was going to go the 315 route but it was closer to 27" high and I wanted something closer to 28"s.

Rear Shots

Shots from the rear and both sides..

what size wheel? I have custom made Riken Mesh 16x9.5" with BGF 295's, with nothing at all done in terms of modifying anything to fit. But I guess for 315's you had to roll the lip, noticed those flares do those have anything to do with it? if its a 10" wheel I guess 5" BS? Looks great man

Are you using the GBody Parts GNX 9.5x16 wheel with P315 45R16 tires - any fitment issues? - what kind of tires?

Ok sounds like I need to go a bit wider to the 10" wheel. What kind of tires? How tall are they?

BF Goodrich TA radial, 28" tire also had a the same size in a MT drag radial. Only mod required is rolling the fender lip.

I have the GNX fender flares and was wondering how hard it is to roll the lip of the stock fender underneath the aftermarket flares? Also, do the 315 45 R16 tires bulge on a 10" wide wheel or is that wide enough? How do you adjust your speedo for the taller tire?
