MSD/Crane/etc Ignition w/ LT1 FAST? Craig??

Craig in another post down the board, you stated an MSD Ignition won't work with a FAST Equipped LT1 car? Last year w/o FAST I was using a Crane Hi6-TR, however I have an MSD 7AL-2, and a Digital 7 (Which is what I had planned on using), that I can use. Are any of these going to work? If not, for what reason?

Interesting thing about the Optisparks.
measure out the air gap between the cap and rotor.
You're wasting a whole bunch of electrical energy to bridge that gap. In the one I measured out it was well over .1". About 5x what I'd like.

If you want enough ignition you really want to get a Bailey Conversion for going coil near plug. If there is a kit for using an eDIST that would also be an option.
