With the exception of timing control, the TR6 from Bob Bailey seems equivalent to the 6AL2 and since its Buick specific and from a forum supporter, it seems like a no brainer IMHO. Have you thought about a TR6 ignition at all? http://www.bailey-eng.com/tr6/

I have to agree with the above statement

It also does have a rev limiter and a 2 step built in
