My Fuel Pump won't stop running and the Engine won't start !
Is this the work (or non work) of the Regulator ?

On a stock set-up, the regulator only controls fuel pressure, not pump operation.
Look in the sticky on top of this section. There is a diagram of the fuel pump electrical connections.

FOr this issue, I would suspect;
• Stuck relay.
• Hotwired pump through the connector at the coil pack.
• Possible oil pressure circuit short.
• A “fuel pump switch” that was added by someone.

x2, as Jerryl said, start with the basics.

Does it go off when you turn off the ignition? Do you have to disconnect your battery to stop the pump?
Did this just suddenly happen? Project car in the middle of a rebuild?
Was the car running before this symptom?

Give us a little more info and I'll be happy to help.

The Pump works with the Key ! (on, off etc:)
The Car just Quit going down the Road !

Hmmm....

Very interesting.

1. It sounds like someone jumped the fuel pump to come on with the key. Not to smart, but that's what we are working with.
2. Your car not running doesn't sound related to the fuel pump being on all time. Do you have spark? Pull a spark plug, hold the tip to ground with an alligator clip jumper and crank the engine. If no spark, it doesn't matter that you have a fuel pump running all the time, fix the spark problem first.
3. If you have spark, do you have fuel pressure? I have read that the fuel pump may sound like its spinning, but not producing any pressure.

Let us know the steps to fixing you have taken so far.
