Mounting a 15

Hi guys I am thinking about doing a trunk kit set-up with a box mounted behind the rear seat to hold a 15" speaker. My question is which way should the speaker face?
should it face towards the back of the rear seat or should it face towards the rear of the car.

Face it towards the rear of the car.


Way back when I had a 15 in my Monte I had it firing upwards and would NOT recomend that way at all!

I know people who say each way is the best. I've never had any experience with this kind of thing, so what i'm telling you is just what i have heard from guys i worked with who went all out and compted with their cars. From what i understand facing the back seat gives a crisper punch where as fasing away gives a smoother sound. If i were doing it i would build a box that could be moved around and try it out facing both directions.
