HOSTS THE KOOL 105.5 HOT ROD SUNDAY
WHAT: The semi-annual Hot Rod Sunday Show, presented by KOOL 105.5, is a collection of different Classic Hot Rods, Street Rods, Mini-Trucks, etc. For one day only, Moroso Motorsports Park will line the paddock, midway and staging lanes with the classic cars and trucks of yesteryear. This event will feature: a Show-n-Shine for any and all makes and models, ¼ mile Drag Racing, the Manufacturers' Midway, Car Corral and acres of Swap Meet to cater to any of your custom automotive needs.
WHEN: Sunday, August 1, 2004
WHERE: Moroso Motorsports Park is located on Beeline Highway (SR 710). From the south: take I-95 to PGA Boulevard; (Exit 79B) or Florida Turnpike; (Exit 109) west to SR 710 and turn right, go 8.2 miles. From the north: take I-95 to SR 706; (Exit 87B) west to Beeline Highway; (SR 710), turn left and go 3.3 miles.
FEATURES: The Show-n-Shine is a multiplicity of vehicles from yesteryear and today competing for seven Specialty Awards and in twenty-two different classes. There will also be a car cruise on Moroso's ¼ mile drag strip for all show-n-shine participants who want to flaunt their rides in front of the crowd. A Test & Tune will be focal point on the ¼ mile drag strip, along with a Gambler's Race for Super Pro, Pro, Pro Bike and Street Bike classes. Jr. Dragsters will take the lanes for Time Trials. To make this a complete family fun Sunday, there will also be the Manufacturers' Midway with new parts and accessories, acres of Swap Meet and a Car Corral to buy and sell used vehicles.
SCHEDULE: Gates open at 9:00 a.m. Swap Meet is open from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Car Show registration closes at 12:30 p.m. There will be a Racers For Christ service at 9:30 a.m. with Test & Tune following promptly from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Gambler's Race will be at 1:00 p.m. and the Show-n-Shine awards presentation will begin at 3:00 p.m.
TICKETS: Tickets are $15 for spectators, Car Show entries and Test & Tune race tickets, the Gambler's Race is an extra $20 (sign up in the drag tower). Swap Meet and Car Corral space, (10' x 15'), is $40 to sell used items only. Children under 12 are always FREE. Discount spectator tickets are available at Murray's Speed & Custom locations in North Miami, Kendall and Pompano Beach.
