Update

I have no more pics since we know what GN in primer looks like, but the bodyman is done and it is in the painters job "stack". Granted he is 1 of 3 that paint for the entire shop. It has been blocked once by the bodyman then reprimed. Now the painter will block it agian, reprime agian "wet block" it,seal it then base coat clear. A black car requires extra careful prep. I requested no "peel" at all and I am paying extra for all the extra prep...LOL...:D

Probably 1-2 weeks before it's black agian. It is definately worth the wait. Since I had a "freind" on it and a company discount I feel I have gotten a great bang for my buck. Time will tell.;)

Steve, looking good there brother! I'm currently out at sea somewhere at the coast of Florida and I tell the internet here onboard the ship is slower than regular mail  But is better than not communicating at all... Thanks for sharing.

It's black..

Got the phone call this afternoon. Car was in the booth. I went over after work and saw the hood, trunk, doors. Car was in the booth and the painter was getting ready to shoot the last coat of clear. This was at 6PM.

Monday I will go over at lunch and snap some pics. The body panels still need to be wet sanded and buffed. What I saw up close looked great. Hopefully it will get to come home next week.

Here it is...

Well I got to see the entire car today,it looks super nice. I am very pleased with the results. Evidently I was happier than the painter. He wants to wet sand the entire car then shoot it with another coat of clear. He says it will be super slick and need minimal buffing. I said whatever:D if you want to improve on it I won't stand it in your way.

What that means is it will probably stay in the paint stage this week and won't get reassembled until next week.

Here are some pics..

Your car looks fantastic! Everything I saw in the pictures looks great. You can tell they are doing it right. It reminds me of when I did my 85 442. I used concept single stage and it looked a mile deep.I never took any pictures of it being worked on. Always wished I did. Now comes the fun part. Putting it back together. Always the best part.

The reassembly starts tomorrow,I saw the car after he wet sanded it with 1000 grit and recleared it....WOW.... My buddy says it may be ready Sat,but no later than Monday.....time it write the big check:wink: .

It's home..

Here's some more pics not in order....

Many, many, many props to Greenbrier Collision Center..especally Robert and Wes. They did on hell of a job!!!!! If your in Tidewater and want it done right you know who to see.;)
