Gents....Getting ready to but a Hot air turbo on my 83 Buick Regal...A mechanic I went to put on a Vac Controlled Distributor...however I took it out and on the bottom it said 1979 221 V6......What is this thing off ?? It was running on the car but the carb was really shot so I couldn't get too good an idea of how it was working.. Do you think maybe who ever wrote these numbers ment to write 231 ?? From what I have been reading a 221 is a ford... Wasn't there a jeep with a similar V6 in it.. I don't know weather or not to throw this back into the car or throw it out..

The number on the distributor is 1110785 also on the Distributor is 9B23 I tried looking up the part on the GM DElco Websiet and nada...

Stick to the B4Black section Vince. We're the read headed step children. These guys won't help you most of the time. Is the distributor HEI or points? If it's HEI then it could be an odd fire but it wouldn't run right. It could also be an aftemarket one. Post a pic of it please.
