not experienced with transmission talk... and definitely wouldn't work on one myself! Is there any reason why i have to wind out each gear to get it to shift? doesn't matter the rate of acceleration-but i have to be over 3500rpm
(each gear, at any speed)

Most likely it threw the gov spring. Easy fix.

Pull the pan, take off gov cover in the rear (4 bolts), gov will slide right out with it. Check for the spring on the small weight. If it's gone, replace it.
