Found these guys today while on my tuning trip here in Alabama. Sunoco dealer apparently. They've got Sunoco racing alcohol (methanol) advertised at the counter for $3.50/gal. They also have 55gal drums but can't remember the price (I want to say $130/per.)

For those die-hard race gas fans, they also have an old-school style analog gas pump outside w/ Sunoco 115L; $6.50/gal.

I'd swear she said it was $5.70 per 5 gal but maybe I misunderstood and it is $5.70 per gal for 5 gal. Either way it is readily available in however much you need and there is a discount if you provide the container. Yipee!

Well after having a problem with bad methanol killing my alkycontrol pump (which Julio took care of! Talk about customer service!!) I went to seek out sealed containers of VP M1 Methanol which I have used in the past with 0 problems for years. Buying it sealed ensures no funny business and no weird additives and contamination.

I managed to find and buy two pails at:

My understanding is no.. its not compatible. There are those that run methanol on the SMC kit, but it is more corrossive than denatured hence why I say not compatible. It has to do with the pump compatability.

As far as a San Jose source.. dunno.. if you find one..post back so we can add it.

Torco Fuels makes a Meth. enhancer and a lube you can add to the meth. to lube the pump you dont need much and will help the SMC Pumps live. My buddies uses the stuff in his SMC kit and has never had any issues with it.

Your other option would be to get a pump from Razor his are Pure Meth. compatibal
