MC-SS or Impala SS with 5.3 anyone?

thinking of getting a 06 MC-SS will be our 4th Monte Carlo, does anyone have the new 5.3 V8 how do you like it and what are you getting for milage? Our present 02 MC-SS 3800 yeilds 30 mpg hi-way.

Most dealers let you have the car for a day or two to see how you like it before you buy it. At least they do in PA.Try them both out and let us know.

No dealers stock the MC-SS in this area of the NE I would have to drive a couple hundred miles to try one out. I bought the last one sight unseen. I know the ride and handling of the MC's am just interested in some feed back on the new 5.3 303hp motor :biggrin:

I just drove an 06 Impala SS today. I was pretty impressed for a stock car. I could not figure out how to turn the traction control off. I think a cold air kit, better exhaust and turn off the torque management and that car would really fly!

I drove one also. Nice package, but just don't like wrong wheel drive.
