no, the mat sensor for the 87 ecm swap, i never put it in, didnt want to go to the junkyards to find one, just rather buy a new one from the auto part store.

Not to try and get too technical but in your 87 ECM conversion you are wanting the temp sensor thingy ............ correct?

If that is true, then we are really talking about the same thing. The true function of this sensor per OEM is IAT - Intake Air Temp.
A MAT - Manifold Air Temp - sensor would be mounted in the manifold.
Close but not really the same.

Kinda like the difference between MAP and Baro Sensor.
Two pressure sensors in different locations.
