MAP Sensor question ?

Hey guys im in the process of installing a PLX vac/boost module to use in conjunction with my PLX multi gauge, I will also be installing a powerlogger in the next few days. Question is, since the PLX module has a analog output 0-5V linear ( I am assuming i can send this signal to the powerlogger ) is there any reason for me to keep the factory MAP sensor, can I just unplug it and tuck those wires out of the way ?
 
Factory MAP sensor ONLY runs the factory boost gauge . Also, if you have alky injection the map runs that. If no alky and you remove it boost gauge in dash wont work.

I have a Dakota Digital VHX dash so no factory gauges at all, didn't know the MAP sensor ran the tach. No alky injection E85
